Affiliate Disclosure

How TRP discloses affiliate relationships while preserving editorial independence.

Amazon Associates disclosure

As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

TRP may publish monetized links to products available through Amazon. When readers use an eligible affiliate link, TRP may receive a commission at no additional cost to the reader.

Link-level disclosure

Affiliate or paid links are identified clearly and conspicuously near the recommendation or link whenever they appear. A disclosure may use plain language such as “affiliate link,” “paid link,” or “commissions earned.”

Editorial independence

Affiliate relationships, sponsorships, complimentary products, review copies, discounts, travel support, or other in-kind support do not determine TRP's editorial conclusions, news judgment, interview questions, ratings, or whether a product or organization is covered.

When a product, service, or organization discussed in editorial content has provided material support relevant to that coverage, TRP discloses that relationship to readers or listeners.

Recommendations

TRP may recommend books, equipment, software, newsroom tools, educational resources, or other products that are relevant to our reporting, podcasting, teaching, or audience. Recommendations are based on editorial judgment and usefulness, not solely on whether a commission is available.
